Thank you :)

Thank you for the holiday gifts- I've already started using the Thanksgiving Starbucks card for some yummy tea and look forward to seeing a movie in style at Gold Class Cinemas.

I absolutely love what I do and my biggest holiday gift is seeing, teaching, playing with and loving your children each day. I hope you all enjoy your winter holidays with your precious ones. See you next year!

Love,
Ms. Amanda

Happy Thanksgiving!

Brrrrr.....what a chilly day it is outside.  The perfect kind of day for being inside by a warm fire and enjoying all the wonderful foods that everyone has worked to prepare.  It was fun getting to see everyone at the school dinner!  The children all were adorable in their hats.  I know there were pictures being taken so when you get a chance, post them for us to see.

Awesome job everyone with all the donations for Safe Place and just a reminder that we have until Monday......so as we are doing our holiday shopping and decorating, remember to put aside any additional items for the families in need.

Happy Thanksgiving!

A typical day at the playground...

Here's a view of how much FUN we have on a typical day at the playground!!!

Collecting acorns...

Riding tricycles around the track...

Digging, piling, and filling buckets with sand, Making "chocolate cake, cupcakes, muffins, carrots, dinner" and more with the sand, Collecting items at "trips to the grocery store, beach, school" and more... The sand is a GREAT place for the kids to use their imagination and they come up with new things to make, collect and travel to each day!

And playing on the PlayScape!

And a little extra treat- Extended Care kids jamming out with our musical instruments. They were going for a while like they do at the beginning of the video...Sorry it's so short! Sometimes the kids will play an instrument on their own, but when they play together, it's priceless. :)

We've been taking lots of pictures with your disposable cameras too and hopefully I'll be able to borrow Jason's camera more often and take more digital pictures to post! Thanks for lending us your precious little ones each day! They are a joy! :) :)

With lots of love,
Ms. Amanda

Simchat Torah

Here are some pictures from Simchat Torah! We went down to Temple Agudas Achim waving flags. I wish I had a picture of when the kids got their flags - they had the biggest smiles on their faces as they waved them back and forth.

The kids sat on the bimah to sing with Ms. Carol and listen to the rabbi tell us about the holiday.

Then Rabbi Rachel took the Torah out of the ark...and led a parade around the synagogue! The Ladybugs were eager to lead the way around the temple!

Sukkot Pictures!

Hi parents!
Here are some adorable pictures of our Ladybug class so far! Enjoy :)
For Sukkot, we took a walk out to the Sukkah to have lunch with the Pony class.
Hands up for the Ha'motzi!

Enjoying lunch...

Reading and talking about about Sukkot and the Sukkah we get to eat under...

The kids loved talking a walk to the Sukkah, being able to see the sky through the roof, having lunch with our friends, and pointing out what the Sukkahs were made of! It was a great day. :)

New Stuff in our classroom!

Hi everyone,

We have a new rug for the reading center and are working to get one more. We also have a brand new curtain courtesy of East End Ink.
We are still missing some items on Ms. Amanda and Ms. Yunita's wish list, so if you have some free time, please check it out and see if you can contribute anything.
Ms. Amanda is getting the hermit crab this weekend so bring your shells to put in the tank!

If you have any questions, please let us know!!! THANKS Charlotte for creating this blog...how fun!

Noa

Welcome.

I thought that this might be a good idea for a way of all of us communicating about the class and what is going on.  If you don't like it, no worries...I will take it down.  :)
